Best of FB

When you enter the nursing home that I work in and make a left, you enter a long hallway.  Each month there is an art exhibit featuring work from residents or employees.

One of my friends – Nicholas (83) – displayed his photographs from a lifetime of living in New York City.  Another friend – Betty (95) – presented her tapestries from years of collecting old rugs at yard sales, taking them apart for the wool, and weaving impressive works of art.

I volunteered for June and I’m calling it:

A Love of Traveling Expressed Through Photography

In case you can’t make it to Saratoga Springs, I’ll give you a showing here.

As traveling is primary, and being the photographer secondary, I make a careful effort to give credit to any photos that I did not directly take, even though I was involved in the adventure.  I also attempt to write the year and location of each photograph.  They are in no specific order.

I signed off Facebook in 2012.  I am happy that they offer a feature in which you can download your entire photo library.  This allowed me to select these photos from hundreds.  My only regret is that when living in Australia (and visiting Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand) I did not upload any photos electronically.  Fortunately, I have hard copies of those photos and can scan them one day.  Enjoy.

  1. Amazing photos, how blessed you are to have such talent and to have traveled to so many exotic places!

  2. With my not being on Facebook either I appreciate receiving these. As I am also in the art business, I do concur that these photos capture both the essence and spirit of the places visited.
